GE Profile Refrigerator PFCS1PKXCSS no light inside refrigerator – GE Profile Repair in San Jose, California

Customer’s GE Profile Refrigerator PFCS1PKXCSS didn’t have light in refrigerator section. Customer did try to replace the LED light but didn’t help. Then I came to his house I noticed that when I open the door the power not coming to connection – no any power. Then I remember which colors of wires going to body and then I found them in rear side of refrigerator. They went to small metal box. And I found there 27VAC power supply for light. When I open door – there’s coming 120VAC of incoming power and no outcoming power. I found the 3A fuse and that fuse was ok. When I did check the transformer – incoming winding was ok, outcoming winding wasn’t ok – didn’t show any resistance. I replaced the transformer – luckily I had standard transformer from furnace (120VAC to 24-27VAC). After that light started working.
